Forced Fatherhood

Click to view post on Dr.Phil's website

Today on Dr. Phil he discussed the subject on forced fatherhood. So I decided that I needed to post my two cents on this.

I don't think it's right for a person to be forced into anything, including something as important as becoming a parent. That being said, I think that if two people are mature enough to jump in the sack, then they should be held accountable for the consequences. It doesn't matter if you used a contraceptive, all of them are not 100% effective. If you taken the time to read the fine print, they are only 99.9% effective. There is still that small chance of you becoming a parent. Now, in the case of Matt, he claims that his girlfriend at the time, told him she couldn't get pregnant, she was taking the pill and what not. They never questioned him as to whether or not he used a rubber. I think that him believing his girlfriend was his first mistake. He should have made sure that what she was saying was absolutely true. And ladies, WTF is wrong with ya'll trying to keep a man by getting preggers? That is not cool it's kinda freaky and down right desperate. Back to Matt, he claims to have clearly telling his ex that he didn't want a child (before he knocked her up). Well Matt, I guess that if you weren't ready for parenthood, you should have bought a bunch of Hustler Mags or bought a lot of porn and wacked one off from time to time. The responsibility falls on both of them for not being responsible enough to prevent this pregnancy.

The next fella on the show stated that after a 5 min fling with a girl, he found out 2 yrs later that it produced a child. By this time, this guy had gotten married and had 2 kids of his own. The wife was furious and gripping about the court ordered child support payments they were making (the dood had a DNA done to prove paternity). In this case, I think that the fling chick is shady. Why would she wait 2 yrs to announce this to the guy? I agree that the courts should have prone more into why this woman waited so long to claim child support payment. There should be a statue of limitation when it comes to this kind of issue. Maybe the guy would have taken the responsibility and would have married this girl. He does seem a solid guy and not a dead beat. So again, ladies, WTF? Why ya'll waiting years to tell your baby daddy that he is a daddy? That is some stupid decision on ya'lls part. The funniest part of this guys case is, Dr. Phil said that at first, the girl had agreed to appear on the show but then cancelled stating that she would only appear if they payed her $5,000! LOL!! She absolutely flashed her true colors.

So, forced into fatherhood...

is it ok for ladies to use pregnancy to keep a guy? NO!
is it ok for consenting adults to indulge in sexual relationships knowing the consequences? YES!
is it ok for a woman to wait a long time to let the father know he is a dad? NO!

What should be happening is...

talk clearly about your desires for your relationship.
do not use a child as a tool to keep a man.
do not wait so damn long to tell your partner that he is going to be a daddy.

America In Debt

It's sad to see how a country with so much resources, has fallen so short with economic chaos. From finger's being pointed at others to bad strategic planning, ultimately, the taxpayers are the ones to suffer. Both Presidential Administrations made mistakes, no one is perfect, but instead of placing the American people's best interest at the forefront of this dilemma, we have been pushed aside. Our country now owes more money than ever imagined. The Government has lost their train of thought and carelessly forgotten that taxpayers are truly the ones who boost and run the economy. Blind by this mistake, our Government has chosen to take the side of companies who proved to be unsteady and reckless. The Government is willing to dish out money, funding the shady executives who failed to managed their finances from the start. So now, people who can't afford living are being punished twice over. Does that make sense? What should have been a major bailout towards the American people's pocket, went to money hungry exec's; who get huge severance packages and will not have to worry about where their next meal will come from or worry about loosing their homes.

We are in debt, that's a fact. But who's fault is it? that is the million dollar question I guess. All we are left with the what ifs? I wonder what would have happened if all of us united outside the Government walls and demanded order, clarity, and compassion. Maybe we failed in the part of loudly shouting out, WHAT ABOUT US?! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Would our President listened? or would he just continued to push his personal agenda at the cost of taxpayers? My continual thoughts take me to a deep feeling of, will anyone be able to afford living here?
Our Country is in debt, people are in debt, companies are in debt, this pattern does not look good to me. When will it stop? and how many more will have to pay the price? Each day thousands more lost their job, everyday thousands are homeless, children won't be able to eat tonight, they won't be able to go home, they won't be able to get medical attention. Every single day, families are struggling. Slowly sinking into a deep depression. They have no way out. And all of this is happening in your very own neighborhoods, not millions of miles away in a third world country. Did we ever expect to see this again?

What if our Government would have bailed us out? What if they would have giving us only $100,000 dollars. After all, aren't we experts at spending? Don't we know our finances better than anyone else? I think our economy would have boosted even further. Unfortunately, those are all what ifs. I hope and pray for our Country. That we might overcome this era. I pray that we may still have faith in our President, considering that he is only human with many flaws. I hope that our Government take the wool over their eyes and begin to see clearly. Consider the struggles many families are facing and provide clean-cut programs that are TRULY meant for prosperity. I pray that just like President Obama promised, transparency in Government, we will see that transparency and that is gives us a view of hope.

The Art of ManScaping by Gillete

And I thought us ladies had it hard. This is truly informative and funny as heck too! I guess Gillete got tired of endless Q&A's about how to shave down there, LOL! So this is such a big help for all you Manscape Virgins :D... remember, it might not seem easy the first time, just pause, take a deep breath, and play.

Can you see them moving?

Welcome Note

I have no clue what I am doing here. But I think that one of the reasons for me being here is the need to speak. The want of expressing myself without the basic face-to-face chatter. Maybe it's because in writing I can say it without having to pause for input from someone else. So my thoughts are rapidly spoken. I have no writing background and to be honest with you, I never enjoyed writing. I do not punctuate properly. But I take that grammar here is not an issue.

I navigated around blogger and found some amazing blogs. I wish I could be as good as they are. Maybe in the future, as I become comfortable. Until then, this is my little spot and I am happy to have this little nook. I'm nervous, excited, and hopeful. I know that I will be my toughest critic, I might even update a blog as I will probably read it over and over, picking it apart, changing some words as I see fit. I heard someone say that expressing yourself over text, chat, or blog, is extremely difficult, because others might read what you wrote in a completely different content. I will keep that in mind as I write. I know that CAPITALS are the meaning of shouting or important point? am I right? and a friend once said don't put too much !!!!!!... it's simply silly and exaggerated. I agree, one or two is enough. But as I find my own groovy beat, I hope that I will find favour among the blogger community.

So here I go, here I begin, this is the new page turning in a thick book. What will I write about? Will I be too critical? Will I be transparent? I seriously don't know. I just hope that whatever I do in this blog, it will be to my satisfaction and for my own purpose. I will try to not let others influence my writing habits or let other's comments bring my spirits down. I will be vigilant of my character and keep myself grounded at all times. My thoughts are simple. Sometimes they are random splatters. My words tend to be naive, but that's ok.

So here I go! (one exclamation)... This is my diary... Welcome :-)
